Well technically he's not new... just new to my dad's house
So when I worked at Big Als, we got a shipment of totally wrecked and sick paddletailed newts and out of the 85 we got in one or two survived. I told one of the guys that i wo uld be taking one home to help it heal up and I've had the cute guy since.
He was in a small tank with my two baby Pearscale goldfish, and he decided that he didnt like them, ate their eyes, and went for a walk around my house.
He managed to climb onto my bed over my face, down onto the floor, up the stairs, into the kitchen and into my dad's girlfriends slippers whcih made her scream... it was awesome...
I decided to put him into a 5.5 gallon tank which is slightly heated and he lives with an albino red tailed tetra (not too sure of the species for once lol) two pea puffers, and this amazing looking tetra with a black stripe down his side and long redish fins with a dark metallic blue body.
So my newt is at my dads place now and he is doing awesome... this is going to be my "JUNGLE TANK" it will eventually have live plants in it and 2 more fish. Despite it having only plastic plants and a piece of drift wood, it looks awesome!!!!
***PICS SOON TO COME***
