Sociability: Keeps mainly to its self. A schoaling fish that prefers a group of its own kind. Minimum 6.

Care level: Great for Beginers.
Care: Very easy. A very hardy fish that can be quite timid. Very peaceful, will not harm other fish. Great for the community. If kept alone, it has the tendancy to wither and die. May be prone to fungal attack so general good quality water is recquired.
Aquarium: A strong current for this fish to swim against. Feeds in the water coloum, so when feding make sure to direct some food in their direction. A heavily planted tank with some free, open swiming spaces. Provide shaded areas and floating plants.
Feeding: Omnivorous, will take frozen, live and flake food. Prefers live food.
