Title: Does anyone quarantine plants?

dtroup2 - April 29, 2006 02:32 AM (GMT)
I know that there are a lot of people who ended up with uninvited hitch-hikers on plants that they buy, I personally ended up infested with tiny pond snails in my last tank.

So would it work to quarantine plants like you do fish and if so does anyone do it?

I mean, it could be done, and its a great idea. That way you could use medications against pest snails, not killing off existing stock etc, but I really dont see if its worth your while. As FBG mentioned, just wash them, look at their leaves etc, or you can use a bleach solution to dip them in.
