Anyone from experience know how fast Glyptoperichthys gibbiceps (leopard sailfin pleco) grow? i got 2 that are about 2" long and the LFS had one that wasnt for sale that was 10" long and ABSOLUTELY gorgeous! i was just wondering how long does it take to get a pleco like this to that sought of size? i've read of people with ones up to 50cm and 60cm but did that take 10 years as an example or happen relatively quickly?

:dunno:

Depends on a lot of things...like diet and tank size. I'd say it would hit 10 inches in at least a year and a half to two years...I have a 6.5 inch common pleco and I got him in March last year at 2 inches. But I'm not sure it would be right to compaire a common with a gibby... :dunno:

What size tank is your common pleco in?
And what do you feed it?
