Let me begin with what happened yesterday. I went to wally world to get some gravel for my tank. Took a gander at the dying fish. They actually had dimd. compress. I was blown away. I of course rescued them. $5. They also some how had a couple rare grouami's. So I knabbed them at a wapping $1.50. They will now have a good home. Now onto what happened today. I am a avid fisherman. I mean I love it. Go almost everyday. So I went to a local community pond. I was fishing for a bit. There were a couple kids there crouding me and bugging me. They were fishing out blue gills with just hooks. I mean left and right. Then the damn kid climbed the tree in front of where I was fishing. Hanging from one of it's limbs that over hung the water. So I coulden't even cast out. Next thing I know he says, look a turtle. I was watching the whole time. The kid took his hook dipped it in the water and hook the turtle. No joke. I immediately persuaded the kid to sell me the turtle for $9. After a minute of debating, and strong arming. I convinced him to sell it to me. The reason I did so was because I observed the way they were treating the blue gill. Such as throwing the blue gill against logs, and heaving them as hard as they could. So now I'm the proud new owner of a red ear slider. Stupid people that buy pets and can't take care of them. Anyway here is a picture of the little gal. click to enlarge.
