I personally own this plant, it seems to grow great in my 1.3 WPG, I have yet to trim the plant, and, it has produced one leaf every month (it has very slow growth) and an up side to this plant so I am told, cichlids hate it! So, it would be a great plant in a cichlid aquarium, and, it looks great with a small catfish on the leaf. It is stunning in all most every set up, I have it attached to a big piece of driftwood. And the roots have grown off the driftwood, and into the gravel, it truly looks great.
