lol ok i got 2 fronnies that are a bit bigger then the others i'm getting in...it looked sad having a empty tank, but in 2 weeks i'll have another 10 going in (very young that i hope to grow out to 6" and then sell most).

These are Berundi morph Frontosa (6 stripe). :)

The larger of the two seems to like digging in underneath the piece of driftwood, wont let the other one in :P

lol peek-a-boo is exactly what the biggest one does :P

and i agree, absolutely cute little things! i cant wait to get the other 10 fronnies, I might end up keeping a majority of them if i get enough tank space.

Great looking new fish! They make for an excellent species tank and will do best in a 6 foot plus tank when they reach maturity. Remember that they can be shy and (in the wild) are reported to mainly feed at night (adults may feed on Cyprichromis sp.)

They look like some nice young juvies! congrats on the pick up.

well i decided not to get the other 10 at this point in time...i'm gonna just save for my 6' tank (after my mechanics paid for the work his done, which is most of the reason i cant lay out $150 right this moment) and then by that time i should be able to introduce the two i have now in my grow out tank.

And they are shy and have dug burrows under the driftwood and the other made one beside the filter, second you move by the tank they swim into the burrow. but the food i put in at night is gone by morning which is good, i was afraid they wernt eating the first few nights.

they are such an amazing specy though!!!

^^^ these two are roughly the same size, and they have distinct difference, i'm suspecting ones male and one female...the anal fin on one is longer plus the facial difference would suggest it? what do ya think. I only have the two which i've had since they were a bit smaller and once they grow out a little more will be introduced to the community tank (just hoping the male wont be so agressive to the female which is shown in the grow out tank even now).
