Has anyone or does anyone have or know about a Horsed-faced loach?
Horse faced loach, yep that rings a bell, most likely a Acantopsis choirorhynchus. These guys are generally shy and require a soft substrate to burrow in, so no sharp edges. they are normally quite peaceable creatures but the odd one can be quite nippy. They require high protein foods to keep them in top condition and are good at rooting out meaty scraps of food in the substrate!
Keep them in groups of 3 or more, the more the better, they have been known to breed on rare occasions, spawning is triggered by a good diet and a dip in water temperature, which can be achieved by a large water change.
Try to provide them a cave and lots of p;ants to make them feel secure and to entice them to come out of digging in the sand, otherwise you will rarely see them jay
