Ok, Hubby insisted on getting a Bala Shark and a Pictus Catfish to put in my 55gal, and the CAE is still in there.
Is there any cichlid that will work in this tank?


I have posted this in both sections of the Cichlid area on purpose.

if it were me i would ditch the bala, it will eventually outgrow the 55 and really they need to be in groups to be happy. as far as cichlids you could try a pair of firemouths.

Blue acaras should work too.

some rainbow cichlids would be cool, or anything from the cryptoheros groups. although the crypto's may be on the smaller side of the spectrum there are some cool fish to choose from, i like nanoluteus myself or maybe cutteri.

i like cichlas blue acara suggestion as well.:D too many to choose from LOL.

anyway, I think the CAE may be a bit to agressive for young cichlids, mark me if im wrong guys. Might be an Idea to get them bigger, but that costs $$$ true.
