Description: about time

dogs and insuranceI have known several people that have had problems with this and it's about damn time people stood up to the insurance companies.
Right now I know a woman who is looking for a new home for her 2 yr old male Rott because she can't get insurance with him in the home, if she can't find him a new home she will have to have him put down, which is not only breaking her family's hearts it will also mean that she is out the $350.00 she paid for him. She got him for breeding purposes, she can get $200.00 stud fee for every litter he produces.
A good friend down south had to lie about his wolf's breed in order to get insurance, he had to register it as a mut with the city he lives in and give the paperwork to his insurance company.
I would be screwed if I went for insurance, Dude is 1/2 Chow and 1/2 German Shepard, both breeds are on the list.

I actually moved due to laws brought about where I did live concerning APBT...luckily at my new residence there is no municipal banning but I do pay higher homeowners due to them....gotta love the govt and ignorant a$$ people. I would die for my 2 boyz before I would for most people.....

Those are some beautiful boyz DM!
When my kids were young, like still in diapers, my best friend had a pit and my kids crawled all over him, he loved it, never even flinched. Another friend has 2 Cocker Spanials that are trained to attack on command. It all comes down to how they are raised and trained.

You guys have to pay insurance for dogs over there? thats sucks! Here they only have to be registed.
DM: Pittys are now banned in the state of Victoria where I live, only a few people can have them now but under strick rules.
I think this sucks as pitts just have a bad name, but I for one have always found them to be a friendly loving dog, the only time I know they attack is when they feel there owners is under threat or themselfs.

It's not that you have to buy insurance on the dog but when you buy a house and get insurance on it having some breeds of dogs will increase your insurance and in some cases make it impossible to get insurance on your house/property.

So your saying with dog insurance. Anything my dog destroys in my house I can file a claim? If that's the case I should go get some. Before my little minni pinschers destroy everything.

Actually it just covers your ass if they bite or attack someone or their animals.
