Title: Aponogeton bulbs
Description: some questions

dtroup2 - June 12, 2006 04:33 AM (GMT)
Aponogeton bulbs, I have some questions.
It appears that I got at least 3 different kinds.
One is fairly tall with almost streight leaves, this plant has produced a couple of what I thought were flower stalks, but instead of producing flowers they are producing plantlets. How big do I need to let the plantlets get before I disconnect them and plant them, or do they disconnect themselves?

The next one has short skinny leaves, about 3 in long and 1/4 in wide and has sent up a very long shoot to the surface.

The short round leaved light green plant is Philodendrian, LOL, it grows fully submerged, at least for now.

Does anyone know what it is?
The third is the typical wavy leaved that I have had before.

When the plantlet had developed about 4-5 roots I seperated it from the parent plant and planted it in my 10gal Endler tank.

The plant with the thin stalks and narrow leaves has produced floating leaves on 3 of the thin stalks and a fourth long thin stalk has developed and looks like it is going to be a flower stalk.

The long skinny leaved plant has sent up 2 flower stalks.

Each stalk splits into 2 stems above the water that have white folwerets the full length.
