He has eaten 21 3" goldies in a few days before. Luckily, because he uses so little energy moving around, he doesn't need a constant supply like that. He has eaten 8 4" goldfish this week but won't need any for a few weeks again now.

So he does like snakes and gorge himself when food is plentiful and then go without food for a while. How do you tell when he's hungry again? He is an interesting fish, not real pretty but very interesting. :laugh:

Yup, that's exactly how he is. I pretty much just look at his shape to decide when to get him more. As you can imagine, he looks pretty plump after a feast of 21 goldies.

Whoa...that was fast, and extremely viscious....Hell of an oddball...what is the coral/plant looking thing behind him? Is this a fresh or salty species?
