Title: Got Attacked by a cat!

Vip - June 18, 2006 10:30 AM (GMT)
Last night me and nici were kicking back on the sofa when I started to hear a cat howling like a dog, and right away I new it was that big white cat thats been pestering my kittie!
This is the only cat ive hard howl and its pretty funny when you hear it, anyway, I ran out side and so did nici and the cats were right into it ripping each other apart.
I have to say my cat for a small boy was doing really good, he had this big bugger pinned to the ground and was tearing into him (what do you expect, he was brought up with a rottie :P )
I was yelling at them to stop but nothing would break them up so I went to grab the white cat by the back of the neck but missed and grabbed him by the side of his body........really hard, he screamed at me!!!! LOL, then swung around and sunk his big fangs right into the bottom of my thumb, I yelled f*ck and chucked him in the air, he landed on the other side of the road and then took off.
I was watching him run away and thought my cat was right behind him, but no, missie was running after him to have another shot LOL! he came back after about a min or two and was coughing and limping.
Whenwe brang him in we noticed that he had bite marks on his neck and also his back right middle claw was ripped out and bleeding but he is fine.
Then my hand started to hurt bad and I couldnt move it so I rang the 24 hotline for doctors and they said I would be fine as I had all my shots about 4 weeks ago for my finger so there no risk of infection.
I tell ya guys, if cats are fighting, just wet them with a hose, never pick them up lol.

Get a painball gun. Everyone gets a different color. You can keep score this way.

I learned a long time ago that if animals are fighting you DO NOT try to seperate them with your bare hands, a few well placed blows with a shovel works well, with cats the garden hose works really well.

Do they have Rabies in your country? Has Missie had his shots? If not you might want to take him to the vet.

I would also try to find out who ownes the stray and check if it has had it's shots, and see if animal controal can catch it.
Here in the states sometimes the local animal controal will loan out cat traps, maybe they have a similar program over there.

Good luck, watch the bite for infection, cat bites can be very nasty!

Your forgot to mention what you yelled out which also made me laugh, Damian running across the street “GET THE FU#K OFF MY CAT” when I seen him pick up the white cat instant I thought “wtf are you doing! I was waiting for the cat to attack his face.

Watch your cat closely over the next few weeks for abseces around the bite marks as they get infections from cat-bites real easily. As soon as you feel a lump get it to the vet! Also, might wanna get it tested for cat aids. It's harmless to humans but can kill cats, my Dad's moggie died of it after getting into a big fight with a feral cat... Dad & I got even with the feral cat later but :cuss: But yeah just keep a close eye on it for the next week or so just to be safe.
