I can sympathise with you as far as the fish turning, my camera has about 1/2 second lag time and my fish are fast so I get decent pictures of plants where there used to be a fish :laugh:
How big is your Bala, and what do you feed him?
Mine is about 3 inches long and a picky eater.

My Balas are around 3 inches aswell and they are not picky eaters.
They eat Flakes,pebbles,wafers and bloodworms..they even eat from my hands when giving them bloodworms jay

I really like those blue rams, ive never had luck with them.
