Title: peacock eel

Ok, just picked up two of these and am having trouble already. First, what can I feed them????? Been doing searches and so far I hear worms are the ticket.

Second can they stay together or do they need separate tanks???? I have them in separate tanks right now. But, I need to move the one cause my fish are pigs and eat everything I put in there for him to try. So, was thinking I would put him in with the other one. The fish in that tank are a little picky on food and don't eat everything thorn at them.

Any other advise on these fish would be greatly welcome.

ps: funny story, I had to net my own when I bought them cause the lady that worked there was scared of them. It jumped out of the net on the floor and of course I jumped down to get it right away. She freaked out...it was funny. All was saved, I picked him up and stuck him in the water and everything was fine...

These eels do like the company of others, and for the few months I kept peacocks, all mine ate were small earthworms. You wil probably have your best luck with frozen food though :)

Also, try not to keep them with aggressive fish that will eat food very quickly. IME, these eels aren't very fast at getting to food ;)

Hey, thanks, I will try some small earthworms and see what happens. I can get those easier than bloodworm. The local pet shop was out of bloodworm. How stupid....
