ok, guys, have you ever heard of the desert museum?

if not, it is susposed to be a world famous sonoran desert museum, well, i got to get a BEHIND THE 'STAGE' TOUR!!!!! i was the only person aloued, sadly i wasn't alloued to take pictures, but, OMG THEY HAS AWESOME FISH!!! i was sooo excited to be able to go, and i god advice from the lead person on how to get accepted into any zoology job, but, it wasn't any thing i didn't know already. (be personable, know what you are talking about, know how to talk, (in frount of many people.) never loose track of what you re saying in the interview, have a good job for at least a year (or thats what he said any way :P), so all in all, i was with the ictheology person for about 4 hours, and, he said he has been working there for about 48 years (it has only been running for 52 years) he gets paied 39k a year to keep up with all of 50 aquariums, (some of which are more that 1k gallons) (they were breeding tanks for native cichlids, that they reintroduce into the wild.).

so, it was an awesome experience (i'll get some of the display aquarium pictures as soon as i get to go back there) and my brother works in the botiny(spelling?) dpt. and, he said that they are giving him some of there 'pond' plants, and said he would give me 1/3 of them. that is so cool.

BTW my lilly finnaly has a bloom on it!!! yay!!

OH! and he said (the person that was giving me the tour, that he is going to resign his post, and, would give in a good word for me if i ever wanted to be in his place (i guess he REALY liked me.) (he will be resiging in 10 years.) THAT made my day, but i think he was just joking, but if not, thats a greatthing to say. ( i said i would consider joining the queue for jobs LOL.

:woo: Very cool!
I'd love to be able to get a tour like that!
And a reccomendation for a job in 10 years just might actually happen if you keep in touch with him over the years.
The pond plant thing is cool too!

Did you ask him about your filtration problem on your pond?

It sounds like an awesomn day!

(sigh) no, i actually didn't ask that, but, he did say, that it is more important to keep the water freash, than feeding them. because in nature, it is getting refreashed constantly.... :D so, i guess that i need to keep it clean (always) and add some plants. (he has some awesome filters for their ponds, if i didn't already say that, i mean, HUGE filters, 10x better than what you would ever see in a house hold aquarium, or pond.)

but, yeah, it was awesome.
