alright guys, most likely a simple answer is needed, but i don't have it tongue.gif.
i am wanting to transfer my stuff from this computer to another, with out networking my comps....i am currently using windows XP running on a friggen HP, and i wanted to move it to a dell, running windows 2000 or ME or w/e it is called. so, i was wondering if it would be an OK idea to put it to n external hard drive, and then just "plug" it in to the other comp that i want to use.
the comp i would be putting it on is...wel, lets say it dosn't have much to say for it, i think only a 5 gig Hard drive, and 256 MB RAM, so, i was thinking of buying a 250 gig extrenal Hard Drive and, i would be making it better while getting the programs i need from this to the other comp w/o loading every thing again.... biggrin.gif
the only reason i want to do this is because my mother and father have messed this comp up, and it is not fun playing WoW or GW on it any more. God, my mother keeps loading and loading, and friggen loading it with crap we don't need....i feel like putting a password to it so they can't get on it..... but, yeah, i had think 100 gigs of hard drive memory, and now i am down to.... i think 50 gigs.....that is a lot of junk on it...so, it is slow, and i only need a comp for playing games, and reading e-mail any more.
so, yeah, a lil feedback would be nice, i am tech illetterit, so, explane in english trems please. biggrin.gif
I just saw a commercial for a thing called "Transfer-eze" for like $30.00.
877GETTRAN is the number, the commercial was on the National Geographic channel.
and that transfers the program/or any files EZly?
(i am on a short budget, but, i could get 30 dollers for it, but, i would also need a new hard dreive, because of it being so small...
but, i'll have to check it out if it is going to transfer it easier than me uninstalling and reinstalling and then updating again. :D
I saw that commercial again today and cought the web address.
