I need abit of help here. I bought 2 crabs from my LFS but i really can't get them to feed. Ive tried everything Bacon, Bloodworm and ham, but they just ignore it. Maybe they feed in the night but I have the tank lights off most of the time as its too hot. There is also a freshwater shrimp in the tank with long arms and little blue claw and he's feeding really well. The crabs seem to be fine they dont move alot and quite often sit out of the water.
Please help

I assume that you bought them recently, so part of the reason they won't eat is because they still need to settle. Keep offering them food, they will get hungry enough to eat eventually :)
BTW- Try sticking to food meant for fish/other aquarium animals. Bacon and ham contain a lot of fat that such freshwater creatures would not naturally consume. In other words, the crab's stomach may not be able to handle the foreign food ;)
hehe this reminds me of the time i put 2 crabs in my tank... they got eventually..... assasinated by my convict. anywho, for mine, i had those floating pellets. i soaked them in some water for a few minutes then squeezed them with my finger and they dropped right to the bottom for the crabs. i also had tons of rocks so sometimes they would climb high enough and i would feed the soaked pellets to them with toothpicks.
You might try sinking Shrimp pelets, my shrimp love them.
just found one of the crabs dead. Getting abit worried to be honest. We'll just have to see what happens with the last one. He still dosent seem to be excepting food so I hope they'll be ok :sook:
