:drunk: ok heres my first attempt since my other first attempt at plants...last lot i didnt have enough light so bing they died...These will prolly be food as well for the 2 oscars in there (which doesnt concern me) but i'm hoping to get more in there and was wondering in some of the tanks whats that low grass looking plants other planted tanks have as coverage? trying to spice this and another tank up that will suppliment the diets of some of the species as well.

Any recommendations keeping these alive will help, i have the tanks in front of a window so i can open them with the blinds so they'll have natural light...the tank light isnt proper, just a halogen desk light till i can get a proper one, just hoping these plants will also balance the water chemistry out :)

I reckon that looks pretty cool for a beginner, but do you think the oscars are a good choice?

oscars we're already occupying the tank...They are nearly at a size they'll have to leave this tank and i'm think of devoting this one to playing around with plants and just keep smaller less aggressive fish in their...i know they're going to eat the leaves, seen the bigger one pluck off a couple but yeah i just wanna give planted a shot.

The plants dont really cost me anything through the aquarium i goto, i'm a frequent there since the opened so get lots of stuff cheap or free in that respect.

Have to see though...
