I have had this goldfish since november of 2004, and kept him in a 10 gallon tank since. h was 5.5 in. when i got him and has grown only an inch in 20 months. He is about 5 years old and i wish for him to live for at least another 5 years. since the 10 gallon is obviously a terrible home for him, i am upgrading it, i currently have a storage tub that can fit about.... 40 gallons, i was wondering if i should put him in that, or if i should add him to a 55 gallon tank, I would not be able to afford this tank for about 6 months, so i was wondering, should i put him in the tub or keep him in the same 10 gallon in which he has lived in perfect health for 20 months?
The 40 gallon tub for sure.
Yeah i was thinking that too, but its plastic and not really made for water, and im not sure if it will crack or not, so
I would get him a 40 gal rubbermade type tub for now, or even a large extreemly clean ice chest would work, if you have one with the spout it would make water changes easier. I had 3 6-inchers in an ice chest for over a year, just set it up like you would a tank.
the initial container should work fine if i dont fill it all the way, i dont have ice things so.. yeah
