Most people who own water sprite, say it needs gravel, most sites say it too, almost everyone does, not me, i've grown water sprite as a FLOATING plant for a long time, from just one handful, the water sprite made enough xtra sprite to fill a 20 gallon aquarium, completely!. and it only took about.. 15 months, in fact, one handful of the stuff floating in a ten gallon will fill the surface, and more, in just 4 months, after 12 months, it fills the whole aquarium and another pound or so. like java moss, it spreads so damn fast, but unlike java, it doesnt need to be spread out to spread the most, it spreads at full function as long as there are space in which a juvvy kuhli can fit. In fact, the store where i got it, the plant actually morphed into a pure floating plant. its an amazing thing for water sprite, and its great for fry, works better than java moss.
if you have a picture that isn't coppyrighted, or, that you have personally taken, i would suggest putting this in the plant index.
actually i made this thread as more of advise for people looking for good floating plants, so thats why its in planted tanks
