steve, I have a few ideas in mind. most likely a indoor above ground pool or a very large acrylic tank.

mr_miagi, yes. :D

vip, the arowana range from around 15"-20" and the clowns are about 15".
the clown knifes actually beg for food when I walk up to the tank

the goldfish were a rare treat. either way the food bill is nuts. in dry foods it cost about $100 every 45 days.

cyclop-eeze flake
tropical crisps
cichlid flakes
cichlid excel pellets
cichlid gold pellets
hikari tropical food sticks
azoo arowana pellets
krill
raw shrimp
ghost shrimp
fish filets
live fish
black worms
european nightcrawlers

Yeah I can just imagine that food bill for all of those yahoos! They made short work of those goldfish! That was pretty intense feeding show:o. You will have to link more videos of that set up here so we can enjoy it almost as much as you obviously do. Have you thought about setting up a web cam on your tank?

thank you :)

I shot a nice long behavior video the other day and when I went to upload it I noticed it was 34 megs!!
I had to cut this one up a bunch of times and at the very end I hand fed my silver arowana so I cut a few seconds before that.
I thought about the live cam but I need to invest in a good quality cam first.

Damn thats going to be a hard choice between the pond and acrylic tank! The pond would be a lot cheaper wouldnt it?

hareball - May 1, 2005 03:59 PM (GMT)

I hope to end up with one of each. the arowanas and rays can be enjoyed more in a pond and the cichla would be more enjoyed in a tank.
