Ive had a long armed shrimp in a tank all on its own for a while now. I think its is the laos shrimp species. He is sooooo aggressive, He's eaten crabs that were in the tank with him and he ate a 4" plec he'll even have a go at you when you try and feed him, although he is apsolutely brilliant, Named ShrimpBoss!!! as nobody messes with him, Today I moved him from a 5g tank to a 3g tank where he looks more at home he was swamped before as he dosent really move alot, he just looks mean. He's gromn from 1" to about 4.5" in about 2 months so I dont know how big he's gonna get but watch out. Just wondering whats the best things for him food wise etc etc. And just a general warning to anybody who wants to put one in a community tank DON'T!!! lol.

heres the bugger!!! He eats crabs for breakfast!
Cool shrimp! and a nice pic too.
Sorry I don't know much about them, but have you tried googling the common name to find the proper scientific name, and then re-googled the scientific name? You can find a lot of info that way...although a lot of it may be contradictory....after a while though, you can kind of get a feel for what sites have reputable info, and those that don't.
i have never seen a shrimp simmilar to him, and, is 4.5" i mean, it could be an amano shrimp, if it wasn't 4.5" i have a singapor wood shrimp, that is 2" and, has never chased any of my fish. however i do have mine in a 50 gallon, planted very well, with rocks, and drift wood, i would say, if you ever want to have him in an aquarium with other fish/shrimp, i would have him in a 10 gallon +, with places for him to hide, as well as the other fish, if he tries to kill them.
