Title: Am I wrong about this?
Description: Or do you see my point of veiw.

Nici and I were all set to start at the local Gym, I was pumped and couldnt wait to start. We went in with our trial pass for the first time and asked the lady beind the counter on where the lockers are for all our stuff (car keys, watches etc) She says you have to rent them for $2.50 per 3 hours. I was shocked, as im paying good money for this gym, and I dont even get a locker...
She then said, there are shelves in the gym to put your stuff in and there is a camera watching it so know one can pinch anything, but mind you, the lady was busy talking on the phone and did not look at the screen at all the whole time we were there. So if somthing went missing, im sure they wont pay for it.
We went in and had a look, I went into the change rooms and the showers were open, no shower for yourself at all, you had to shower with kids and men, I found that disgusting.
Im not a shy guy, but I like my privacy and I also like to have a shower after doing Gym, because if you just go outside after it, you tend to get a cold.
There were 6 or 7 year old boys running a muck in the showers as well, turning them all on to see whitch has the most pressure and shit, how am I ment to have a shower with them doing that?
After 10 mins or so, and not even lifting one weight, we left... The lady was like "going already?" I just looked at her and keept walking. This is ment to be a top gym, but it isnt, my last one (whitch is to far now) Had your own shower and locker for free, and that is how its ment to be.

Did I go overbored, or do you think I made the right choice in not joining up..

PS: She is also calling me this wednesday to come in for a Full Membership, should I just tell her the truth?

If it were me, when she calls I'd tell her that I'm not interested and exactly why, you are paying for a service and if they are not offering the service that you expect at the level you expect you should tell them.

Tell them why you dont want to join their gym. If no one gives feedback then nothing will be changed. Who knows, they might do some sort of deal for you to get your business.

We ended up finding a closer and cheaper gym with better facilities:
-shower in private with hairdryers etc
-They hold ur valubles
-They have a huge work out area
-They have everything in one solarium, hairdresser etc
-5 min from work so we will go straight after
-They have classes included like the other gym

So im glad it happened the way it did cause we found something better :woo: our first session is tonight!

Cool! Even our tiny gym at work has private showers, 3 walls and a curtian.

We tried telling her why we wont be returning but we couldnt get a word is she kept talking on the top of us and i dont have time for ppl like that. So when she tried calling back a couple of days later i kept declining her calls. If she doesnt wanna listen to her customers then thats her loss :eatit:
