Can you not find a plasic tub or a kiddie pool to act as a temporary holding until you can find homes for them? A larger space will reduce territorial aggression. I would take them off your hands, but I am on the other side of the planet. You might want to try local schools to see if they want some classroom pets. Honestly, your best bet is to offer them as feeder fish. Think of it as recycling as opposed to killing them off. It would not be a waste and I am sure local hobbyists would snap them up in no time. I hope you are going to consider for the future from now on about what you are going to do with the offspring before a situation like this occurs again.

Best of luck to you

Yea you need to offer them to other fishkeepers or try giving them to an LFS. Convicts breed like rabbits and require TONS of space. If you're not equipped for this kind of situation, then you need to make sure you don't have a male and female together. Thankfully, mother nature has made this easy to discern.
