Title: Mogurnda gudgeon raising
Description: The breeding was the easy part

I have 4 juvie mogurndas in a 20g long and they keep spawning, so instead of letting the eggs go to waste (as the past 5 spawns have  ) I moved the eggs to a safe environment.

They keep laying the eggs on an in the tank filter, so I just moved the filter (with almost hatched eggs on it) into a nearby ten gallon tank.

So far, I would call my mission successful, because A: the eggs hatched, and B: there are actually a lot of fry swimming. There are hundreds of little mogurnda fry darting aimlessly in a tank full of java moss :woo: And, for the first time in the history of my fishkeeping carreer, I will try to raise these fry. Usually, I breed cichlids and just let the fry fend for themselves, but these fish are a bit more special to me. I think that people online must actually associate me with these fish :P

Anyway, I can admit that I am new to this sort of fry raising, and I have one question: What are some good foods for fry ( besides Baby brine shrimp, I'm not too sure that I can get that)?

My livebearer fry love crushed flake, freeze dried tubifex worms, the little critters that grow on the plants and snail eggs. I have even cought them nibbling on the shrimp pelets and algae tabs I put in for their parents.

Dwarfs I was just wondering how you went with your mogurnda fry?

The mogurndas are my favourite but unfortunatly my three died earlier this year due to a heater failure. :rip:
