has any one ever heard of genetically engineered foods? well, i think it is important for every one to read about it
here.
the site you need to learn about it all,
greenpeace
Sorry, I don't find Greenpeace to be a reliable organization on much of anything. In fact, I view them as just a few steps above a terrorist organization on the lines of PETA or ALF. They use half truths, lies, twisted facts and unsubstantiated claims and studies to back up their position.
Granted, there are controversies of real concern with genetically engineered food, but you have to find someone who doesn't have a biased history or agenda behind them which Greenpeace most certainly does.
Locate the real facts and base your opinion on them. Berkeley has some good studies for starters.
People who want a reduction in fertilizers and pesticides and fight genetically altered food must also want people to starve to death.
wise words, Glaive.
With all the people around. The food supply gets lower, and with a lotof this food going to people who can afford mroe than they need, and throwing away extra, the people whom cannot afford them must lvie without it. and starve.
Using pesticides will cut down on the amount of unedible food and using fertilizers will largen the supply, lowering the economic price. and thus, feeding the hungry.,
EDIT---i dont know what was up with me on the statement. so dont ask
youth, that was you speaking what you honestly felt, and, you, just started spilling exactly what you were thinking there, i'm glad i promote that LOL.
what inspired me to do this post, i was in fry's today, and, saw this grape-L an apple that is not geneticly changed, to now tast like a grape, i honestly find it a stupid thing, to geneticly modify food we eat, and, there are natural ways to keep bugs out of our food w/o using pestisides, and ferts, using fish emoultion is a great fert to use, granted, it is a little expencive, but, not any thing that is artifical, and, using marygolds will keep some bugs away from the plants, my mom uses that in her garden (garden as in growing food to eat.) and we hardly ever have problems, besides the brids taking some for their selves.
but, i want your view on this, would you ever eat a strawberry bannana???(a strayberry tasting bannana) that would grose me out, it is ment to be the way it was origanly grown, most of the plants now, you can't re use the seeds, because they are geneticly modifyed, meaning, it is impossible to reproduce another generation from that plant, THAT is wrong, have you ever heard of some one putting a ™ on seeds?!?!?!
