Hi there I have had 3 Tiger Barbs in my tank for about a month now and just today I came home and one of them was no longer silver with black stripes he turned a dark chocolate red can anyone tell me why this happened and why they change colors??? Thanx!

hmm, what was the barb labled as? if it was a weird color, it could have been injected with die. and the colors are fading, or, they could be stressed, this could be because of not enough water changes, rapid water temp changes, or, because some f the other fish are herrasing that certain fish. is there any fin dammage on any of the fish in the aquarium?


i have never had tiger barbs, but, I'm guessing it should be comunitave with all fish? some other help would be nice, seeing as i didn't give a deffnite answer to bizlynn.

thanx for the reply ya those are all things i thought of and no there is no fin damage and they are ina 33 gallon tank and there is only 3 of them in there and they were advertised as tiger barbs... no specific color or dye that i know of....
