i know it's a bit much i'll get around to actually breaking it up and making smaller stuff out of it.

Honestly leave it as is, they will work with it, no need to bust it up. It looks great and they will love it.

thanks dude. it seems they are more skittish now that they have all this cover is that normal? maybe they are still just getting used to it?

They are still juvenile and they are a secretive fish. They are also still in an adjustment period. They will probably be this way until they start to reach 1.5 inches maybe a hair more. At that point it should become clear who the dominant ones are. My adults are rather sneaky and secretive however they are not afraid to be in the open. Low to the ground near their rocks. While the fry and juveniles tend to hug surfaces more, they are just running on instinct.

Be patient, from your description of their behavior you are doing a great job with them.

thanks for the info bud. i'll be sure to keep an eye on them. they are very interesting to say the least. i have noticed that they like to hang out upside down alot, which is weird to me, but cool.:)

When they are young like that it can feel like they are glued to their cover. I am glad that they are doing well for you. It should be cool when they start digging under the rocks to make a cave.
