Title: Midwest Ice Storm 2007
Description: Some shots from Tulsa, Oklahoma
Seedy - January 14, 2007 11:56 PM (GMT)
Here's some shots from Tulsa Oklahoma:

Looks like a nice light snow right?...
Not...That is a couple of inches of rock hard ice...You don't sink into this stuff...you just walk on top of it. Heck...you can even stomp on it, and you still won't break through to the grass underneath.

I find this shot ominous with the sagging tree and the powerlines in the background:

Ice on trees:

about what?
me wishing that this would happen, hence the phrase "be careful what you wish for"
or me pointing out that stuff like that never happens here in Minnesota?
lol :P
dtroup - January 15, 2007 01:06 PM (GMT)
About wishing for that shit to happen here!
Snowy - January 15, 2007 01:44 PM (GMT)
oh, I'm sorry. hold on, let me go find a fountain and get a silver coin. The wish will surely come true then!
But seriously, that looks beautiful, the way the trees hang down. and the build up on that dead leaf.

It looks like you got it a little more then we did here in mid Tulsa. Our roads are still bad and yet they are saying it's not over another batch of wintery matter this weekend. Anyways Nice Pictures!

I know! I couldn't believe we were in for another round...Everytime I hear another report for the weekend, I swear they've tacked on another 2 inches to the total predicted snow...I think the last I heard was 6-9 inches....I'm sure by the time I check the forcast again we'll be in for over a foot!

dtroup - January 23, 2007 01:58 PM (GMT)
Glad you guys didn't get hit by that one, what are they predicting for this next storm? My daughter, Doveswing, is in NM and as of 8:00pm yesterday she said that they had 8" of snow.
Here in MN we only have about 1/4". :lmao:
Seedy - January 23, 2007 11:43 PM (GMT)
Man...we certainly dodged the bullet here on that second storm. I think it actually melted more ice with the rain than any thing else.
