Nobody seems to have these guys near me, and they sound like a good fit for my kids- I'm in NW NJ. Anyone have experience w/mail order fish? How does this work, it's kind of cold to be receiving live fish. Don't they get harmed in transit?
Also, can I keep a pair of cories and a pleico with these guys and still breed them?
Thanks

There are several places to get endlers shipped to you. In fact I think there is some people that keep them in NY and such. Check out the website Endlers R Us , there are usually several people there that have fish to sell.
Yes they can be kept with cories and pleco's. I have 18 cories and 6 bristlenose plecs in my tank and there are alway several fry in the tank.
When fish are shipped they are usually in styrofoam boxes with heat packs and some type of insulation. Some people won't ship in winter because there can be delays that will cause problems. But I am sure there is someone closer to you that you can set up an overnite delivery.
Thanks-
I'll look into the mail ship
