Title: My New Ride/Home

dtroup - January 30, 2007 01:16 PM (GMT)
As you may know we are getting ready to move from MN to NM, about 1500 miles. We bought a 1973 Winnebego Indian motorhome to make the move and live in when we get there because we can rent RV spaces down there for $50 - 150 depending on features vs $300-500 for rent, plus we own it!! It has a 440 with less than 50,000 miles on it and it has $1300.00 worth of brand new rubber all the way around. It was listed for just under a grand and we got it for $660.00. Here are some pics of the inside, it was too damn cold to take any pics of the outside. It needs some work but nothing we can't handle.;) We were told that it gets 10 mpg loaded or empty.

I'm actually planning on using 20 gal rubbermade tubs (hopefully clear or translucent) not sure exactly where yet but I gotta be able to plug them in and feed them, besides the tub will be full of other rubbermaid tubs full of "stuff".

Yep, and I won't have to pay as much rent when we get there, 50-150 p/month for a place to park it vs 300-500 p/month if we had to rent an appartment.
