Our local turkey flock.

No,turkeys are not native to the Northern San Francisco Bay Area.
About a hundred years ago, local wealthy land owners imported the birds from the eastern USA to hunt. With no natural predators the birds population has exploded and are becoming a nuisance. They get into the garbage. They have been known to assault children and dogs. They are completely tame and fearless.
At least once a year they make the news for flying through plate glass windows.
I should point out that this is an suburban area with lots of open space.
If i ever get a picture of the Golden Eagle pair we have in the area,I'll post those too.

Actually,I threw the painkillers down the toilet. They were morphine tablets.Fear of addiction prompted my action.Well, that and constipation. Now I've got a temporary Medicinal Marijuana Club Card.Of course it really hurts when I cough.

id say pick up a bow and some arrows ( check the local laws about wildlife first) and pop a few when you can to help with that in my area when we have animals such a raccoon all we have to do is notify the DNR that they were getting into trash and stuff and its ok to kill them as long as we dont just throw them in the trash or leave em

Uhhh...dude,this is the HOME of the Whiney Ass Liberal Snivel Bitch. They'll spend a million dollars trying to save a non-native invasive species from electrocution rather than sending a couple of game wardens in to deal with the problem. If some private citizen tries to deal with it...well,you stand a better chance confessing to child molestation.Ever wonder what happened to all the hippies from the sixties. They got rich off computers, settled down in this area, and THEN had children who are even bigger whiners than they were.
sorry, you touched on a sore spot.
It was great being an outlaw here when I was younger, even the cops would piss themselves.
