Title: Snail question.

MistyDawnInKentucky - May 6, 2007 01:10 AM (GMT)
I bought my snail about 2 months ago and I have a question. Ok here goes, it looks like he or she has crawled out of its shell. It looks like it is still alive because it is moving around the tank and is now attached to the side of its shell. What is going on? Any information would be greatly appreciated. I have no idea what kind it is or anything about it.

okie dokie lets see here..........

snails are hermaphradites, both being a he and she, so i hope you have fun naming it :P

secondly, if some sorts of snail are pushed over, they stretch and crawl overthemselves till either their foot touches the floor, or the shell rolls right way up. It gets them to where they want to be, but leaves them a little open to predators

Hmmm, most interesting. Kinda of a stupid thing for the snail to do as he/she might get eaten but interesting.
