I have some fertilizers that you add to the water (Plant Gro). It tells me how much I have to add of it but not how often :?:
i heard that substrate fertilizer is also really good but i havent been able to find any in my LFSs. Any idea on how often I should add the fertilizer?

depends on what sort of plants you have really. i have always had good luck with just using a good substrate like fluorite. it seems anytime i add ferts to my tank i just get an algae bloom.
