They are a nice looking breed. I'm after a colony of L. ornatipinnis ontop of the L. stappersi I already have. Careful, the rift cichlids can be addictive.

i am finding them very addictive Teelie. Glaive dropped those julies off awhile back and i have been hooked ever since.

very cool Teelie those guys look awesome. i almost got some L.signatus when i was there but went with the comps. instead hoping to avoid any aggression by the julies.

I love the look of A. Calvus and used to have two in my mbuna tank, ive since sold them on when i moved, and now im back im limited to 3 tanks *cries* no africans for me :(

i'm sure in time Oddy you'll find a way to add more tanks.:D


i just noticed that one of the comps is trying to eat the smaller snails in that tank.

They do love their snails.

Funny, never had them pegged for snail eaters! more of a small piscivore?

yeah i know in the wild these guys will pick off fry. i never knew they would go after snails though. i think it was more out of curiosity than anything else. now there are a shitload of snails in that tank.LOL
