Title: Pics
Description: from my new neighborhood (load warning)

As you know we relocated from Minnesota to New Mexico, so I thought you might like to see where we are now.

Cuchillo Creek, runs by our house, during decent rains, otherwise it's dry.

I live at the bottom of this hill before the bridge.

A few of the mountains nearby, my best friend lives up here. This is also Cuchillo creek. The area is called "Red Hill" because the ground is red.

Some pics of Elephant Butte Dam and lake as well as the Rio Grande river leaving the dam.

By looking at the far side of the picture you can see just how far down the lake is.

These two are by the Dam Site Marina, when I left 7 years ago the water level was within 1 foot of the walkway. On the up side the squirrels have moved back into the rocks. :)

I remember those hills... what part of NM are you in now?

We are just outside the Truth or Consequences city limits, about 5 miles from Elephant Butte Lake and 45 miles from where the mountain pics were taken.

The view from my front deck.
Including my daughter's project car, an old Mustang 2 that was given to her with a broken windshield and a stretched timing belt.

cool pics Dot. how is dude handling the other dog's company?

dtroup - October 21, 2007 05:42 AM (GMT)
Dude doesn't have any problems with Oddball (sorry Oddy, her ex b/f named him). We keep Oddball on a chain most of the time because he likes to get out and run for the highway, so Dude only deals with him when he wants to. Most of the time he ignores the pup. Dude does like to mess with him though, he will take his bones outside and eat them within sight but out of reach, he also takes over the dog house occasionally just to :Fyou: him! Oddball is only 9 months old so he's still very rambunctious and wants to play with everyone and thinks Dude is the greatest toy in the world.

hahahaha, sounds like the doggy equivalent of the odd couple.:D

well, I guess I got off well then. we just got a year old Sheltie, and it behaves just like out 6 year old dog; which by the way is really mellow for a border collie. LOL.

oddball is a cute puppiy. ;P are you going to take some pictures of your new house?
