whats the geophagus behind the pike cichlid btw?

my best guess is Geophagus surinamensis. although it has been suggested that surinamensis may after all be a catch all name for a wide range of eartheaters.something along the lines of how most New World cichlids started out in the Cichlasoma genus. who knows really, eventually all cichlids will be reassigned 50 times over and they'll still be arguing over who belongs where.:D
