Title: new things that I might end up with.

FBG - November 21, 2007 03:48 AM (GMT)
well, for my birthday that recently passed, I got 25.00 towards fish stuff on eBay. so, I found two things that I'd love to have, I just wanted to see what you guys think before I buy them.

for my 40 gallon that houses peaceful fish, I was thinking 5 Cherry Shrimp, and then this kind of cool Liverwort that is native to Asia (not sure if they all are...) but it hasn't really started to catch fire in the US aquariums. I read about the plant in a few different sites, it apparently won't attach to a rock or wood very well, so you have to use a hairnet of some thing close. but it looks pretty cool, and shrimp love it, or so the sites say. does any one have experience with this plant? it's really called "MONOSOLENIUM TENERUM"

I have 3 days untill the money transfers to my payapl account any way, so I might as well ask experienced people I trust before buying.

Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks
Tyler

sorry mate im a dunce with plants, the shrimp however are a doddle to keep so long as your waters fine and you dont have any nippy fish, all can be well untill they shed then they are fair game, so just keep an eye on them when molting time comes around ;)

ok, will do. I actually have a wood shrimp in my 50 gallon, (I thought it was a cherry shrimp until it got over 3 inches long) but it retreats into the H.O.B filter when it time to shed. so, every time I have to fish him out or he'll die in there, I think. lol

Is that a reasonable price for the shrimp?

I think I got a good deal, 26.36 for every thing, including express shipping, they arrived today, but were too big for my mail box, but it's at the postoffice so tomorrow I'll go pick them up, and show you guys some pictures...provided I can get some of the shrimp, they will be 1/4 to 1/2 an inch long. LOL
