Title: Well, here are my plants for 50 gallon

FBG - April 2, 2008 12:06 AM (GMT)
ok...so, I just got the plants today at 12:00, (keep in mind, i ordered them 11 days or so ago.) They got my order the Monday after that, and sent them Thussday of the same week. I got 3 day express and Saturday delivery...but apparently they weren't open on Saturday and didn't ship. then Monday came, and FedEx said it's not due for delivery. so, now here it is Tuesday 11 days later and I get my plants... I'm pretty excited because they are finally here, so I open the package. But guess what?!? yeah, they forgot a few plants. (I'll list what I got. later.) Ok, so, that not a big mistake...only the fact that on the paper that indicates what you ordered says that I only bought $26.57 worth of plants...wait...they only ship plants if it's $35.00 or more... because'it's not worth their quality packaging' HA! the plants didn't have any water, most were yellow, and nearly dead, wonderful... So besides that, I order 10 Val- Corkscrew, and 10 val- Contortionist, they didn't give me the contortionist. every thing looked good untill i see the last plant listed, "hey, where is my Marsh weed????" they forgot that as well, i guess... Oh, ROFL did I mention the Glostigma?? I guess not, well, it's almost completely dead. all yellow, "gee, I wonder why? oh, they didn't staple the bag at the top, and let out all the mist they put in there." so, i have two pots of nearly deag dlostigma with roots that will be hard to plant. Oh, and the Riccia? yeah, it's brown, and again nearly dead. here are pictures...

hope you enjoy this...I did...n't oh, I also have had a case of green water because of over fertilizing because there aren't enough plants, oh, and because of the water chem issue, yeah, I now have the flat worms I had in my 10 gallon... The one and only good thing is that my shrimp I have in there are growing very nicely, and look healthy. oh, the other plants I have in there...they are simply 'ok'

I have been doing 30% water changes every other day as of late, not added ferts, no CO2, and little, sparatic light. so, hopefully this will clear up within the next week or two. I will have pictures of the aquarium later in the day when I finish planting the stubbern plants with dieing roots...LOL wonderful April fools day? yeah, I'm not joking about any of this to let you guys know

sorry to hear that Tyler. that's a bummer, to spend money on plants and have them shipped with a half assed pack job. i order from Aqua Botanic on occassion and haven't had a problem with them yet.

I was planning on buying from them, but thought I'd go with a company that is in town, and have heard some good things about them, but I guess I should have gone with Aqua botanic instead, next time I get plants which should be pretty soon, I'll go with them.

Damn, that sucks.

I hope you can revive what they did send you.

Did you contact them and complain? I'd send them pics of what you got and the condition it was in as well as getting a refund for what you ordered and didn't receive and for the wrong sword as well.

I haven't contacted them yet, I looked at the receipt and they didn't charge me for those plants, and they were under their allowed charge for shipment. by that I mean that they will only ship something out if the total plant only price (not including boxing and handling fee) is over 35 dollars, and it was 33.57 with boxing fee. so the price with out boxing fee was only 28.37, I'm going to send them an E-mail tonight asking why they didn't send the other plants. (on their site it said they were in stock) it just says that they are for sale, and the Marsh Mermaidweed (Proserpinaca palustris), is actually cheaper now.
