| you breed plecos? |
well, not intentionally at first, it was just an accident but after that i put a pvc pipe in the tank with the adults and they've bred in there. not lately though...maybe he needs some fishy viagra...

Man, that cucumber has been demolished! By plecs and snails! :lol2:
Are young plecs tough? Or do they tend to weak out? I tried two young ones smaller than those in my tanks and they just died? How are they to keep at a young stage?
longhorn13 - May 7, 2005 07:12 AM (GMT)
from that batch i got about 50 of them, and in the first two months i didn't lose any and then at about the third month i started losing some (almost half), but it was after i was gone for a couple weeks, and they didn't get the same care i gave them so it could have been because of that...

oh, and they'll tear through about 4 slices of zuchini a day, hungry little bastards

longhorn13 - May 7, 2005 09:55 AM (GMT)
yeah, it's been pretty fun, i saw an albino bristlenose the other day and i've been thinking about getting it to breed with my regular bristlenose so i can get a mixture of babies out of it--if that's how it works

Whats the realistic possibilities of breeding bristlenose in an actual community tank?
longhorn13 - May 7, 2005 10:31 AM (GMT)
that's where mine bred, i just had to pull the eggs once they got to be wrigglers
